She shared her uplifting journey which has been published in Unmasking Depression during one of our regular WWM events in Sydney on 18th June 2015. "Anna is an inspiration for all of us out there that hide behind our fears, books and walls. Before going to her lecture, I was always afraid to let go of the past and allowed my past to control my success in the future. But seeing her journey and the way she had overcome that stage of her life is unbelievable and inspirational. She taught me that I should 'let my success be my voice.' There is nothing in life that I can't try to do and that once I put my mind to it nothing can stand in my way.
Through her experience it made me realise that we can achieve anything and we have to realise that everyone has a past. It is what we do with our present that determines our future. The most inspirational person is someone who is able to admit their weaknesses and grow. Never allow your past control your future. Hope you keep succeeding, Anna because as much it is hard for someone to open up to people, your story might just save someone's life.
God Bless your journey always."

Be The Change

"Depression is such a prevalent mental health condition in our culture and one of the best ways to tackle it is by creating an integrative community of sharing, support and love. That can only be done by people opening their hearts and expressing their lived experiences - which is exactly what Anna did. In her speech at Be The Change, Anna openly expressed her state of vulnerability and the challenging journey she endured from darkness to the light. I have had a few people in my life suffer from depression and Anna’s recount provided me with glimpse into their unspoken pains. Her story truly encompasses that of strength, beauty and endurance and it was truly inspiring to hear."

With everyone's help, she successfully over-funded 3 Kickstarter campaigns. The results were humbling and inspiring: Unmasking Depression (2nd edition) funded $2677 in 14 days with a $1610 goal, Lovely - Poetry on Love and Loss funded $6414 in 14 days with a $6000 goal, and Lovelier - The Goddess and The Dragon funded $8244 in 21 days with a $8000 goal.
